Laboratory TechnicianVEBES O&M Co

VeBes O&M Co is a subsidiary of AZALIYA which is a VEOLIA WATER and MUBADALA joint venture, operating water and wastewater utilities for municipal and industrial clients in the GCC countries.
VeBes O&M Co is in charge of the operations and maintenance on 2 new WWTP, presently under construction, one located in Abu Dhabi (Al Wathba - 300,000 m3/d) and the other in Al Ain (Allahamah - 130,000 m3/d)



2. JOB DESCRIPTION


The Laboratory Technician will:

• Perform the water and sludge analysis according to the analysis program, and other request from Laboratory In Charge and/or Process Engineer, including sampling.
• Operate the plant laboratory, maintain laboratory equipment in good condition, provide chemicals on time.
• Register the analyses results in the data base, and establish reports.
• Report to Lab In-Charge and participle with him and Process Engineer to analysis interpretation.
• Willing to work overtime when required and instructed by Management.
• Responsible for excellent housekeeping of the laboratory at all times.
• Perform any reasonable duty/instruction from Management.
• Adhere, respect and ensure the adherence to the company Occupational Health, Safety and environment policy and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

Accredited and recognized diploma in chemical or environment
Minimum 3 years of experience in waste water treatment plant laboratory and having good command of the English language both written and spoken, and should be computer literate.
Knowledgeable in waste water laboratory analyses (Temperature, conductivity, pH, TSS, BOD, COD, etc.)
Knowledgeable in Hach, WTW, Isco equipments is a plus

Skills:

ABOUT COMPANY

AZALIYA (2008) is joint company between Mubadala and Veolia create  that will focus on water production and waste water collection and treatment in the Middle East and North Africa. Also provide outsourced water management services to municipal and industrial customers in the MENA region. The largest contract is the one for financing, design, construction and operation of two new waste water treatment plants in Abu Dhabi (300,000m3/day) and Al Ain (130,000 m3/day). Azaliya will operate the plants for 22 years. Azaliya, will be one of the promising regions in the world with strong prospects of double digit growth.
